START Yeshiva University
Where it all STARTed
START (Students, Teachers, and Researchers Teach) Science! is an initiative in which students from Yeshiva University, accompanied by professors from Yeshiva University, design and implement science curricular modules in a local public school.

The pilot program, started in the Spring 2011 semester, consisted of 7 courses in the disciplines of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Engineering, and was taught primarily at an eighth grade class at I.S. 143. In our second year, we taught three fourth grade classes, one sixth grade class and one seventh grade class. We are now in our eleventh year and continue to teach in four local public schools in Washington Heights, NYC.

The START Yeshiva Chapter is currently led by Miriam Radinsky and Albert Dweck of Yeshiva University.
